I talked to Mr. Sweet today, and we were able to get Advisories scheduled for Period 8 (40min Advisory, 15min Directed Literacy), so that leaves all of Period 9 open for Philosophy Club. So, I think we’ll have an hour of P.C. during school on Thursdays, and then, follow with an optional hour after school for those that want to continue deeper in discussion/activism, or for those who can’t make it during the school day. Hope that accommodates ya’ll.
I'm also going to be looking into getting the 'reading room' for our meetings... those uncomfortable desks in my room aren't helping anyone think clearly.
Let me know if you have any more input on what P.C. should become, or how it should be organized in the next year... I want this to be your club!

what the heck is advisory, directed literacy, reading room?? and who on earth is mr sweet? god, leave for 2 years and the place erupts into chaos.

i think that would be really cool. if we could get like bean bag seats or something that would be even better. but even if we cant get the reading room it doesnt matter the were we are. just because we have to sit in desks doesnt mean we cant think. if that was true then we wouldnt be able to do anything in any other classes. it's all a state of mind. for example if u think omg omg omg i have a head ache then u will deff get a head ache but if u dont think about it there is less chance of getting the headache
