Time: Let's Capture Those Thoughts in Words!

Assignment: Compose thoughtful answers to the following five questions. Before you begin your composition, it is recommended that you do some further reading/research.

  1. What is time? (Define time as you understand it. Be specific!)
  2. Is time absolute or relative? (Your answer should show that you understand the absolute theory of time, and the relative theory of time, BEFORE you make a case for either one.)
  3. Is time an illusion or a non-illusion? (You need to define illusion first, and describe the attributes of illusions vs. non-illusions BEFORE you make a case that time is either one.)
  4. What is the relationship between memory and time? (If we did not have memory, would we have any ‘sensation’ of time, or reason to believe that time exists?)
  5. Is time travel possible? (You must define what it means to ‘travel through time’ before you make a case of whether it is possible or not.)

Please post your answer (to all five questions) in a SINGLE comment to this thread, or e-mail them to me (Mr. B), or drop them in my mailbox at school by Thursday, October 19th. Thanks… I’m looking forward to reading them!
