I know this doesnt exactly go along with what we've been talking about lately but it may relate at some point I dont really know right now. Well this has to do with "Myspace" and how its affected so many people. I personally think that Myspace has gotten out of hand. There are little kids on there that may be only 8 years old and they have these pictures of them in bathing suites and stuff like that. Now I'm starting to think that this site has more meaning to it then most people think it does; I think it is starting to become a popularity contest or who can get to 2,000 friends first. It's amazing how we can have so many things going on in the world today and some people are more caught up on if they have any new picture comments, how sad is that? It's not bad enough that there are social groups in school, like the popular kids, the Jocks, so on and so forth. But now we've created another place where people can be harrased or just plain ignored i guess. I say "we" because like the slogan for Dunkin Donuts says " America runs on Dunkin" when its actually the other way around, Dunkin runs on America, cause if no one went then they wouldn't be around. It's the same thing with Myspace, if no one went on then there would be no myspace, so thats why i say we created it and it's almost like we are giving people permission to judge us. Now I know I'm kind of just rambaling but I think Myspace really shows how dependent we are on peoples acceptance.
I'd like to know what you think,
Alex
