- Mack initially submitted to Yertle’s order to become part of his throne
- Mack sighed (loud enough to attract Yertle’s attention)
- Mack politely voiced his discomfort, and then asked a question
- Yertle responded, "SILENCE!"
- Mack groaned politely, "Your Majesty please… we, too, should have rights."
- Yertle howled back, "You hush up your mouth!"
- As Yertle lifted his hand to give another command, Mack decided… he’d taken enough.
- Mack got a bit mad.
- Mack did a plain little thing… he burped.
- Things changed.
Now these are mere observations, not a formula by any means… and yet they contain many of the essential elements of revolution. So… I’d like us to begin to examine personal, social, moral, political, and philosophical issues that we are uncomfortable with... then find others within our club (or beyond!) that share similar frustrations/perspectives... organize yourselves around your cause... research, read, discuss and debate those issues... and when the time is right, take action… BURP!
Please post a comment outlining the current issues that rouse your passions, passions that can be honed through philosophical discourse… passions that can begin to fuel change...

I'm a bit of a fan of dignity and personal freedoms. When I'm forced or pressured to act in a certain way from any person or organization in a position of authority for no reason that I can discern or understand, I get into quite the tizzy.
am I passionate about it? I don't think so. Such things might bring rise to anger, a passion of sorts, but I'll leave the real feelings to the more subtle and abstract aspects of philosophicalishness
