i think what makes someone ugly is their lack of open mindedness but as for the question of what makes "something" ugly, i really dont think anything can make something else ugly. i truly believe that everything has its own kind of beauty and just because some people may not see that quality does not mean that what ever it is, isnt beautiful. Though my statement is not to be taken to the extreme as to say "I" myself think that everything is beautiful because i may be the person that looks at a giant cigarette company and says, wow that's one ugly building right there or i may for example see a piece of dog crap in a park and say wow thats pretty nasty but like i said someone else may have a different perspective and we have no right to judge that person because of their points of view.
You speak of something having its own kind of beauty, much like a flower has its own scent or color... that some things contain attributes that are inherent to their constitution... and beauty can be--and is--one of those inherent attributes...
...is this accurate? I ask because several members today suggested that beauty exists nowhere else than in the eye of the beholder... beauty is all in your head... it is a byproduct of perception and emotion
